The Rolled Hem Foot, sometimes also known as the narrow hem foot, is used to sew a very narrow hem. The foot folds the raw edge of your fabric under just before it passes under the needle. For garment, home decor or any type of sewing, the rolled hem foot provides a professional-looking finish.
Hemming prevents the edges from fraying and results in a clean, durable edge. You can stitch a rolled hem in sheer and very lightweight fabrics for evening wear, lingerie, scarves or medium weight for clothes and home decorating.

Top sewing foot. I got mine with my purchase of Singer Quantum 9960. So easy to use. Almost perfect. I say that because I got carried away with the whole process and decided to try an uneven hem on one of my dresses. On the bias parts of the hem it was harder to control it. Took nothing away from the finished product. Very professional
