Troubleshoot MOMENTO™ Error Codes
Error messages got you down? This chart will help you troubleshoot error codes that you may see on your SINGER® MOMENTO™ craft cutting machine.

ERR=1 Cutting edge limitation!

Design file is larger than the maximum cutting area

Reduce the size of the design or move it away from the very edge of the canvas or mat

Either no blade is inserted, the wrong blade is inserted, or the Basic Blade Housing is inserted incorrectly
|
Insert the basic blade into the right side of the Tool Holder, making sure the Housing is properly locked into place

ERR=2 Please insert the rotary blade!
|
Either no blade is inserted, the wrong blade is inserted, or the Rotary Blade Housing is inserted incorrectly
|
Insert the Rotary Blade into the right side of the Tool Holder, making sure the Housing is properly locked into place and you can see a green light toward the top of the Housing

ERR=2 Please inert the Engraving Tool!
|
Either no blade is inserted, the wrong blade is inserted, or the Engraving Tool Housing is inserted incorrectly
|
Insert the Engraving Tool into the right side of the Tool Holder, making sure the Housing is properly locked into place and you can see a green light toward the top of the Housing
|

ERR=2 Please insert the Debossing Tool!
|
Either no blade is inserted, the wrong blade is inserted, or the Debossing Tool Housing is inserted incorrectly
|
Insert the Debossing Tool into the right side of the Tool Holder, making sure the Housing is properly locked into place and you can see a green light toward the top of the Housing

ERR=4 Fail to scan and read the registration mark!
|
On a Print and Cut design, the camera on the machine cannot find the printed registration marks
|
Can press again and try to find the registration marks manually, or reprint and try again. The material should be loaded in the upper left hand corner of the mat so the machine can find the registration marks. If you continue to receive the error, calibrate the machine camera through the settings on the LCD screen. Instructions for this are in the User Manual.

ERR=34 Please insert the rotary blade!
|
Either no blade is inserted, the wrong blade is inserted, or the Rotary Blade Housing is inserted incorrectly
|
Insert the Rotary Blade into the right side of the Tool Holder, making sure the Housing is properly locked into place and you can see a green light toward the top of the Housing

ERR=128 Failed to load material!
|
When loading mat or material, it is detected by the loading sensor but is not feeding under the pinch wheels or the pinch wheels are raised
|
Make sure the pinch wheel lever is up, which lowers and locks the pinch wheels. Align the mat or material securely along the left side and through the mat guides. Push the mat or material forward until it touches the pinch wheel rollers. Select "Load Mat" on the LCD screen.

ERR=256 Carriage location sensor error!

The Tool Holder carriage has moved too far to the right
|
If you cannot select Pause/Cancel and move the Tool Holder carriage back through the LCD screen, turn the machine off and then back on and the Tool Holder should automatically move back to the home position on the far left

|
Design sent is too large, or it is too close to the left or right edge

|
The Tool Holder cannot move along the machine belt - something may be stuck or blocking the motor gears behind the Tool Holder
|
1. Turn off machine, lift pinch wheels, and remove material or debris from the grit shaft
2. Check if there is material or debris blocking the left and right motor gears behind the Tool Holder

Front and back drive motor error!
|
The grit shaft cannot roll - something may be stuck or blocking the grit shaft
|
1. Turn off machine, lift pinch wheels, and remove any material or debris from the grit shaft
2. Check if there is material or debris blocking the left and right motor gears behind the Tool Holder
|
