Scrap Busting Modern Sampler GO! Broken Dishes 6" Block 31

Block Sewing Instructions:

1. Pin and sew one light purple and one light pink 1½” finished half square triangle (HST) together as shown. Press seams toward the light pink triangle. Make four HST units.
2. Pin and sew one pink 3” finished quarter square triangle (QST) and two dark purple 1½” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams towards dark purple HST. Make four flying geese units.
3. Pin and sew one light purple 1½” finished HST to each side of one dark purple 21/8” finished square on point to create a square in the square unit as shown. Press seams toward light purple HSTs.

5. Pin and sew one flying geese unit to each side of square in square unit. Press seams open.
6. Pin and sew one HST unit to each side of one flying geese unit. Press seams open. Make two combined units.

7. Pin and sew one combined unit to top and bottom of centre block to complete block. Press seams open.
